Sometimes you know what to say, sometimes you don't.
I'm a native Oregonian hailing from the capitol city of Salem in the heart of the Willamette Valley. I grew up with my mother, father, and one older brother. Growing up with the beach an hour away, Mt. Hood an hour and a half, and Portland just up the road, I spent a lot of time traveling and getting outside with my family. My mother never stops moving, and she passed that trait on to me. I have been biking, snowboarding, and playing music almost non-stop throughout my life. These activities give me more pleasure and fulfillment than nearly any other thing in this world. It is these things that keep me going and continually inspire me to be a better designer.
Sometimes you gotta step away from the computer for a few hours.
My art 'career' started at a very young age. I was always drawing strange characters and landscapes, and I often wrote short stories about animals and their adventures. I played the trombone from 3rd grade to 10th grade, and I made a lot of friends doing so. I stopped playing because I couldn't be a part of the 'system' that the high school band created, I needed my space. I stopped playing music for several years, until I went to college at Montana State University and picked up the drums and guitar. I now play drums in several unique bands in Bozeman, and I couldn't be happier. Art is a conglomeration, and I strongly believe you need to be a part of numerous disciplines to be successful. I will never stop making art with my hands and playing music as long as I live.
I am driven by my own heart and my desire to be happy and financially stable. I graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts (Graphic Design), and I continue my education every day through freelance design, music, friends, and outdoor activities.
